No, this is not a "before and after" photo.

In spite of a defense that surrenders close to 400 yards per game, QB Jay Cutler seems to have willed the Broncos to a 4-2 record going into tonight's matchup in Foxboro (8:30 p.m., ESPN). But there's another Jay Cutler out there and he's huge. This Jay Cutler is a two-time Mr. Olympia, who won his first title in 2006, the same year that the quarterback was drafted in the first round by the Broncos. Confused? Us, too. So we got one of the Jays on the phone. You'll have to figure out which one.

By: Clayton South

Human beings are sexual beings.

Human sexuality used to be the providence of religion and philosophy but modern science has made sexuality the object of independent objective study.

Austrian psychiatrist Sigmund Freud believed that sexuality and the sexual force forms the basis of the human psyche [soul / mind] and drives human behavior. His psychoanalytic theory of personality serves as the basis of modern psychology.

Psychoanalytic personality theory states that ID - the primal element of the unconscious mind - controls survival needs and drives behaviour toward obtaining pleasure and satisfying basic needs.
10 Steps To Regain Fire

Do the haunting words of this sad refrain echo in your mind? Has lifting heavy metal lost its thrill? Do you gag at the thought of bench pressing? Do you find the gym depressing and its members a bunch of twits?

Welcome to BBA, Bodybuilders Anonymous. Stand up, state your name and repeat, "I am a bodybuilder and I have lost my will to train." This is a common and treatable disease, not to be ashamed of or denied. There are 10 steps we must consider if we are to overcome this malady and put our training in good order. Let's work together, one day at a time.

No. 1

The first step in recovering your muscle-building spirit is to review your early training goals. Question: Why are you training in the first place? The desires, the passions, the anticipated rewards we originally formed are remarkable and we need to never lose sight of them. They are the essential catalyst of our formation, the spark that makes us go. They set us in motion, keep us in motion. Our goals, like DNA, ultimately account for our uniqueness and significance.

FLEX interview with RONNIE COLEMAN

SITTING DOWN WITH ... RONNIE COLEMAN

FLEX: It's been a year since we've seen your emotional send off at the 2007 Olympia. What have you been up to?
Ronnie Coleman: Not a whole lot as far as how I normally do stuff. I've still been working out every day, eating the same way as if I'm getting ready for a show or something. Been doing a lot of traveling, a whole lot of traveling lately. Because number one I'm not getting ready for the show this year and now I got more time. I'm doing a lot of guest posings and signings. I was in Aruba last weekend. I've been places like Brazil, been to Chile, Canada, Germany, Serbia. I'm still staying real busy these days. So nothing's really changed, except the traveling. Because normally around this time of year I don't go anywhere. I stay at home and just eat and train and get ready for the show.

FLEX: I know man, I was there watching Smallville with you.
Coleman: (Laughs) Yeah. Yeah I'm still watching that too.

FLEX: Are you still training at home or are you back at Metroflex?
Coleman: Oh, Metroflex. I been training at Metroflex a lot lately. I trained at home all last year mostly. I only went to Metroflex maybe a couple of times. So I'm just trying to switch it up.

Gym Etiquette Do's and Dont's

By: Matt Danielsson

Every once in a while you see obscure articles in the Bodybuilding mags where they raise a nagging finger and babble about do's and do not's in the gym. May it be spitting, cursing or slamming down weights. This is good - as there're many out there who behave like something that crawled out of a cave previously sealed off for the past million years or so. And as I'm running low on new questions asked, I might as well deal with this topic now from my perspective.

Rule #1: Attitude

"Yo, check me out, I'm so f-ing big & bad I don't HAVE to wait for my turn on the leg press! Take a hike, dweeb!" No matter how bad you think you are, I'm sure you wouldn't appreciate being pushed around by Greg Kovacs or some other 350+ dude yourself. Size is NOT an excuse to behave like an ass, bluntly put.

In fact, if you're big, that usually indicates that you've spent a number of years in the gym and therefore should have acquired a certain amount of gym manners. So what in fact you WOULD be proving is that you're not only insecure, you're also making an effort in fulfilling the myth of the muscle head-with-an-attitude. Great going, dude.

5 Myths About Training Athletes

by Erick Minor

If I've seen it once, I've seen it a hun??” ... well, a bunch of times. A personal trainer or strength and conditioning specialist will make an assertion about preparing competitive athletes that goes against everything I've learned as an athlete and coach. And none of his peers will argue with him.

Before I get into the five myths, let me assure you that I do, in fact, train competitive athletes. A sprinter I work with, Darvis Patton, is heading to Beijing to represent the U.S. in the 100 meters and the 4 x 100 relay. I also work with major-league baseball players and other elite athletes, and over the past 11 years I've worked with hundreds of clients from all walks of life.
track

I've also competed in bodybuilding, powerlifting, and Strongman competitions, and incorporate some of each in my training programs. Which brings me to ...

Myth #1: "You should train movements, not muscles."

Ten years ago, when I worked as a trainer and massage therapist in a chiropractic clinic, I learned something important: The human body will always find a way to achieve a desired movement.

By: Richard Chan

Article Summary: Write down that message that motivates you and keep it with you.
Keep track of your progress to keep yourself motivated.
Proper breathing protects your spine when you lift weights.

Last week, I was at a convention with old friends who were in the field of fitness and athletics. The past few months my training has been sub-par with my hectic schedule. Anytime I gain momentum exercising I would have to disrupt the consistency of my own routine due to the scheduling of people I train.

In this profession we are so busy helping others that we tend to forget about taking care of our own health. It's all about balance and this is something I've tackled a little better over the years since it can be a challenge if you don't make it a priority. Just seeing the condition of my colleagues has always put a reminder that you should also be on top of your game. I always thrive on a friendly competition and I look forward to seeing them once or twice a year to keep me on my toes.

Personally, this is the only thing that really keeps my energy levels up when I think about it because for me it is motivational to be in top conditioning when interacting with others in the same industry. Now that I've given you an example what keeps me motivated. Let me discuss 10 ways you can enhance your energy; it has given me dramatic changes as well.
